I am new to all of this. I new something was going on from a abnormal white blood count, but for years my body was hurting. I am only 28 years old and I have three wonderful children of my own, but for years I was having joint pain and several test came back negative for anything such as arthritis ect. I was just curious if anyone else suffers from severe joint pain and what seems like nerve pain? Also anythingto help me learn more about diet changes ect. I am on Sprycel and I have shortness of breath, dizziness and pain. I no the shortness of breath is caused from lack of oxygen and that would relate to the dizziness but I am concerned about the amount of pain has gone up since starting the sprycell.

Hello and sorry to hear that you have been suffering for a while. I didn't really have any pain prior to starting treatment but I did once I went on to Imatinib. If you are suffering from shortness of breath on Dasatinib I would go and see your clinician as there can be an issue with pleural effusion with this drug which may be the cause of your breathlessness - worth getting it checked out.

Hi ... welcome to this forum. I agree with Karen that you should ask your clinician to investigate the shortness of breath you are experiencing with dasatinib. You are right that low HGB can cause dizziness etc. but shortness of breath could point to a side effect from dasatinib which should be dealt with.
